Last Supper (Reboot), 2016
Incense burned rice paper with acrylic
17 x 40 3/4 inches (43 x 101 cm)

Quotes - Tulku Jamyang

"The portraits shows that there is a good relation between China and Tibet and all Tibetans are having the last supper in refuge camps a night earlier before going back home. This is the demarcation of being refuge and non refuge. The picture shows younger generations because most of the early generations that flee from Tibet have passed away. So the new generation is going back home."

"Last Supper (Reboot) was inspired from the da Vinci's Last Supper. It is a fiction of having a last supper before going back home after a good relationship between China and Tibet. Da Vinci's Last Supper has the demarcation of trust and mistrust, unity to broken relationship whereas this is a demarcation of broken relationship to unity. da Vinci Last Supper depicts negative at the end whereas my last supper depicts positive at the end."
