Born in Shaoshan, Hunan Province, China, Yoyo Xiao obtained his BFA at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, in 1995, and MFA at Pratt Institute in 2005. His artistic practices concentrate on digital media and art cocreated with AI technology. In his Human-Machine Cocreation project, Yoyo believes that computing can burst out its own creativity, become the main body or the component of the main body, break down the shortcomings of biological computing, let new light come in, and explore new possibilities in visual art. He recently exhibited at the MEISU Hangzhou, Elga Wimmer PCC Gallery in New York, Annual Metaverse Art @Venice, Museum of Chinese in America in New York, Godwin-Ternbach Museum at Queens College.
