Medal No.6-Mi Yue is a special piece in the Medal Series, and as a native of Hubei, I privately like to refer to it as the Princess of Chu. It also captivated collector Mary at first sight, and she wanted to take it home right at the exhibition.
Princess of Chu, the Phoenix Reborn!
Mi Yue, she was a distinctive female monarch during the Warring States period. She excelled in political maneuvering, adept at strategic planning, and skillfully protected the country from the ravages of war. As the first woman in history to be honored as an Empress Dowager, Mi Yue cared about the well-being of the people, implemented domestic reforms, and improved their living standards. Her glorious achievements prove the significance of women on the political stage and leave an eternal mark for future generations.
The first edition of Medal No.6-Mi Yue uses black, the color revered by the Qin Dynasty, exuding unparalleled elegance and wisdom. This artwork is not just a medal but also a testament to history, forever engraving Mi Yue’s story in the river of time.
